ok...
I would post King For a Day by Green Day, but I am not sure that it is... appropriate... It's a strange song... but I like it... I will post Brain Stew by Green Day
I'm having trouble trying to sleep I'm counting sheep but running out As time ticks by And still I try No rest for crosstops in my mind
On my own... here we go
My eyes feel like they're gonna bleed Dried up and bulging out my skull My mouth is dry My face is numb *Very bad word!*ed up and spun out in my room
On my own... here we go
My mind is set on overdrive The clock is laughing in my face A crooked spine My sense's dulled Passed the point of delerium
On my own... here we go
My eyes feel like they're gonna bleed Dried up and bulging out my skull My mouth is dry My face is numb *Very bad word!*ed up and spun out in my room
On my own... here we go

This is a song by this weird foreign band called Blind Guardian...they write songs about the Simerillion. And LOTR...and the Illiad and the Hobbit. I am not sure what this one is about...but it's one of my favorites...don't ask me why.
The Soulforged
I'm not insane That's how it seems though Spiteful, cruel but wise beyond his age
My body fails My soul will rise The end of life's immortalized Disease and agony And I see death through golden eyes Beyond the door There's something more It seems there's just one way
On through the heat I've felt the touch of evil I still feel The icy claw in me
For a decent price I've banned kindness from my heart The spirit of all truth and beauty pawned for my desire
And from the flames As chance would have it The Soulforged will come into light And from the flames As chance would have it The Soulforged, the stainless will rise
I will never change my mind I will leave it all behind
And through the hour glass Everything's grey, everyone's pale Nor colour nor beauty will enlighten my heart The seat of life's empty and cold
Cadaverous you all seem to me Stillborn but you're still alive You're still alive
Truth lies in loneliness When hope is long gone by I'll wipe out the bliss of the new age And welcome you precious night
And from the flames As chance would have it The Soulforged will come into light And from the flames As chance would have it The Soulforged, the stainless will rise
From a distant time voices echo in the hall Come and join us, enter life and everything is gone now
And through the looking glass I still fear mortality and Its loss in the end Unlimited power in my hands Mourn for his lost soul He's cursed and condemned The claw of the dragon ascends
Each step I take May it hurt may It ache Leads me further away from the past But as long as I breathe and each smile on my bleak face I'm on my way to find back to the Peace of mind
And from the flames As chance would have it The Soulforged will come into light And from the flames As chance would have it The Soulforged, the stainless will rise
I will never change my mind I will leave it all behind

I have run out of Wizard of Oz songs...let's see...The Sound of Music! (Sorry, Aria!) "The Sound of Music"
The hills are alive with the sound of music With songs they have sung for a thousand years The hills fill my heart with the sound of music My heart wants to sing every song it hears
My heart wants to beat like the wings of the birds that rise from the lake to the trees My heart wants to sigh like a chime that flies from a church on a breeze To laugh like a brook when it trips and falls over stones on its way To sing through the night like a lark who is learning to pray
I go to the hills when my heart is lonely I know I will hear what I've heard before My heart will be blessed with the sound of music And I'll sing once more

Mine too... Let's all kill Patwak for typing that song.... DIE! JK... Sorry, I'm hyper and in Malloy's class... Um... Hitchin' a Ride by Green Day
Hey mister, where you headed? Are you in a hurry? I need a lift to happy hour. Say oh no. Do you brake for distilled spirits? I need a break as well. The well that inebriates the guilt. 1, 2. 1, 2, 3, 4.
Cold turkey's getting stale, tonight I'm eating crow. Fermented salmonella poison oak no
There's a drought at the fountain of youth, and now I'm dehydrating. My tongue is swelling up, as say 1, 2. 1, 2, 3, 4. Troubled times, you know i can not lie. I'm off the wagon and I'm hitchin' a ride.
There's a drought at the fountain of youth, and now I'm dehydrating. My tongue is swelling up, I say shoot!

Sorry, Hanlah.
She climbs a tree and scrapes her knee Her dress has got a tear She waltzes on her way to Mass And whistles on the stair And underneath her wimple She has curlers in her hair I even heard her singing in the abbey
She's always late for chapel But her penitence is real She's always late for everything Except for every meal I hate to have to say it But I very firmly feel Maria's not an asset to the abbey
I'd like to say a word in her behalf Maria makes me laugh
How do you solve a problem like Maria? How do you catch a cloud and pin it down? How do you find a word that means Maria? A flibbertijibbet! A will-o'-the wisp! A clown!
Many a thing you know you'd like to tell her Many a thing she ought to understand But how do you make her stay And listen to all you say How do you keep a wave upon the sand
Oh, how do you solve a problem like Maria? How do you hold a moonbeam in your hand?
When I'm with her I'm confused Out of focus and bemused And I never know exactly where I am Unpredictable as weather She's as flighty as a feather She's a darling! She's a demon! She's a lamb!
She'd outpester any pest Drive a hornet from its nest She could throw a whirling dervish out of whirl She is gentle! She is wild! She's a riddle! She's a child! She's a headache! She's an angel! She's a girl!

I think I will post Dirty Little Secret by The All-American Rejects
Let me know that I've done wrong When I've known this all along Go around a time or two Just to waste my time with you
Tell me all that you've thrown away Find out games you don't wanna play You are the only one that needs to know
I'll give you my dirty little secret (Dirty little secret) Don't tell anyone or you'll be just another regret (Just another regret, hope that you can keep it) My dirty little secret Who has to know
When we live such fragile lives It's the best way we survive Go around a time or two Just to waste my time with you
Tell me all that you've thrown away Find out games you don't wanna play You are the only one that needs to know
I'll give you my dirty little secret (Dirty little secret) Don't tell anyone or you'll be just another regret (Just another regret, hope that you can keep it) My dirty little secret Who has to know
The way she feels inside (inside) Those thoughts I can't deny (deny) These sleeping dogs won't lie (won't lie) And all I've tried to hide It’s eating me apart Trace this life out
I'll give you my dirty little secret (Dirty little secret) Don't tell anyone or you'll be just another regret (Just another regret)
I'll give you my dirty little secret (Dirty little secret) Don't tell anyone or you'll be just another regret (Just another regret, hope that you can keep it) My dirty little secret Dirty little secret Dirty little secret
Who has to know? who has to know?

LOL... ok, I will post What is this Feeling? from Wicked, so it's mainly sang by Idina Menzel, Kristin Chenoweth, and the rest of the cast of Wicked. Don't worry, it's not a love song... it's a song about hating. LOL
GALINDA (spoken) Dearest darlingest Momsie and Popsical:
ELPHABA (spoken) My dear Father:
BOTHThere's been some confusion Over rooming here at Shiz:
ELPHABA But of course, I'll care for Nessa:
GLINDA But of course, I'll rise above it:
BOTH For I know that's how you'd want me to respond Yes, there's been some confusion For you see, my room-mate is:
GALINDA Unusually and exceedingly peculiar And altogether quite impossible to describe:
ELPHABA Blonde.
GALINDA What is this feeling? So sudden and new?
ELPHABAI felt it the moment I laid eyes on you:
GALINDA My pulse is rushing:
ELPHABA My head is reeling:
GALINDA My face is flushing:
BOTH What is this feeling? Fervid as a flame, Does it have a name? Yes!:Loathing Unadulterated loathing
GALINDA For your face
ELPHABA Your voice
GALINDA Your clothing
BOTHLet's just say - I loathe it all Ev'ry little trait, however small Makes my very flesh begin to crawl With simple utter loathing There's a strange exhilaration In such total detestation It's so pure and strong! Though I do admit it came on fast Still I do believe that it can last And I will be loathing Loathing you My whole life long!
STUDENTS Dear Galinda, you are just too good How do you stand it? I don't think I could! She's a terror! She's a Tartar! We don't mean to show a bias, But Galinda, you're a martyr!
GALINDA Well: these things are sent to try us!
STUDENTS Poor Galinda, forced to reside With someone so disgusticified We all just want to tell you: We're all on your side! We share your:
GALINDA AND ELPHABA STUDENTS What is this feeling Loathing So sudden and new? Unadulterated loathing I felt the moment For her face, her voice I laid eyes on you Her clothing My pulse is rushing Let's just say: My head is reeling We loathe it all! Oh, what is this feeling? Ev'ry little trait Does it have a name? Makes our very flesh Yes: Begin to crawl:. Ahhh: Ahhh:
ALL Loathing!
GALINDA AND ELPHABA ALL There's a strange exhilaration Loathing In such total detestation Loathing So pure, so strong Loathing
STUDENTS So strong!
GALINDA AND ELPHABA Though I do admit it came on fast Still I do believe that it can last ALL And I will be loathing Loathing For forever loathing Loathing Truly deeply loathing Loathing you My whole Loathing Life long! Unadulterated loathing
ELPHABA Boo!
GALINDA Aghh!

Sorry, Aria. After tonight, I wil probably be posting Smoky Joe's Cafe songs.
What will this day be like? I wonder. What will my future be? I wonder. It could be so exciting to be out in the world, to be free My heart should be wildly rejoicing Oh, what's the matter with me?
I've always longed for adventure To do the things I've never dared And here I'm facing adventure Then why am I so scared
A captain with seven children What's so fearsome about that?
Oh, I must stop these doubts, all these worries If I don't I just know I'll turn back I must dream of the things I am seeking I am seeking the courage I lack
The courage to serve them with reliance Face my mistakes without defiance Show them I'm worthy And while I show them I'll show me
So, let them bring on all their problems I'll do better than my best I have confidence they'll put me to the test But I'll make them see I have confidence in me
Somehow I will impress them I will be firm but kind And all those children (Heaven bless them!) They will look up to me
And mind me with each step I am more certain Everything will turn out fine I have confidence the world can all be mine They'll have to agree I have confidence in me
I have confidence in sunshine I have confidence in rain I have confidence that spring will come again Besides which you see I have confidence in me
Strength doesn't lie in numbers Strength doesn't lie in wealth Strength lies in nights of peaceful slumbers When you wake up -- Wake Up!
It tells me all I trust I lead my heart to All I trust becomes my own I have confidence in confidence alone (Oh help!)
I have confidence in confidence alone Besides which you see I have confidence in me!
^That song is SO boring...I don't like it.

Well I know Smokey-Joe's songs...I can't get my older sister to stop singing them! And now I have the mental image of Maria skipping down the road with her suit case and hat and guitar and the "ugliest dress" that the poor didn't want. Ah!

Lol...
[Rolf:] You wait, little girl, on an empty stage For fate to turn the light on Your life, little girl, is an empty page That men will want to write on
[Liesl:] To write on
[Rolf:] You are sixteen going on seventeen Baby, it's time to think Better beware, be canny and careful Baby, you're on the brink
You are sixteen going on seventeen Fellows will fall in line Eager young lads and rogues and cads Will offer you food and wine
Totally unprepared are you To face a world of men Timid and shy and scared are you Of things beyond your ken
You need someone older an wiser Telling you what to do I am seventeen going on eighteen I'll take care of you
[Liesl:] I am sixteen going on seventeen I know that I'm naive Fellows I meet may tell me I'm sweet And willingly I believe
I am sixteen going on seventeen Innocent as a rose Bachelor dandies, drinkers of brandies What do I know of those
Totally unprepared am I To face a world of men Timid and shy and scared am I Of things beyond my ken
I need someone older and wiser Telling me what to do You are seventeen going on eighteen I'll depend on you
^That is my second favorite song from that musical.

That song is sweet, that's why I like it. But my favorite is So Long, Farewell...which I will post below!
[Children:] There's a sad sort of clanging from the clock in the hall And the bells in the steeple too And up in the nursery an absurd little bird Is popping out to say "cuckoo" [Marta, Gretl, Brigitta:] Cuckoo, cuckoo
[Children: Marta, Gretl, Brigitta: ] Regretfully they tell us Cuckoo, cuckoo But firmly they compel us Cuckoo, cuckoo To say goodbye . . . [Marta, Gretl, Brigitta:] Cuckoo! [Children:] . . . to you
[Children:] So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, good night [Marta:] I hate to go and leave this pretty sight
[Children:] So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, adieu [Friedrich:] Adieu, adieu, to yieu and yieu and yieu
[Children:] So long, farewell, au revoir, auf wiedersehen [Liesl:] I'd like to stay and taste my first champagne
[Children:] So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye [Kurt:] I leave and heave a sigh and say goodbye -- Goodbye! [Brigitta:] I'm glad to go, I cannot tell a lie [Louisa:] I flit, I float, I fleetly flee, I fly [Gretl:] The sun has gone to bed and so must I
[Children:] So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
[Guests:] Goodbye!

Bad Day by Daniel Powter
Where is the moment we needed the most You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost They tell me your blue skies fade to grey They tell me your passion's gone away And I don't need no carryin on
You stand in the line just to hit a new low You're faking a smile with the coffee to go You tell me your life's been way off line You're falling to pieces everytime And I don't need no carryin' on
Cause you had a bad day You're taking one down You sing a sad song just to turn it around You say you don't know You tell me don't lie You work at a smile and you go for a ride You had a bad day The camera don't lie You're coming back down and you really don't mind You had a bad day You had a bad day
Well you need a blue sky holiday The point is they laugh at what you say And I don't need no carryin' on
You had a bad day You're taking one down You sing a sad song just to turn it around You say you don't know You tell me don't lie You work at a smile and you go for a ride You had a bad day The camera don't lie You're coming back down and you really don't mind You had a bad day (Oh.. Holiday..)
Sometimes the system goes on the blink And the whole thing turns out wrong You might not make it back and you know That you could be well oh that strong And I'm not wrong
So where is the passion when you need it the most Oh you and I You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
Cause you had a bad day You're taking one down You sing a sad song just to turn it around You say you don't know You tell me don't lie You work at a smile and you go for a ride You had a bad day You've seen what you like And how does it feel for one more time You had a bad day You had a bad day
Had a bad day Had a bad day Had a bad day Had a bad day Had a bad day
